Hope for Justice is appalled by the ongoing criminal unrest, rioting and violence that we are seeing across the UK – we would call for peace at this time. It is deeply concerning that some of those targeted in recent days are likely to be victims or survivors of modern slavery. As a human rights-based organisation, we believe everyone is entitled to live free from fear, intimidation and hostility.
We join calls from our fellow charities and human rights-based organisations for enhanced protection for the most vulnerable, and for hate speech and racism to stop.
