Decade of Dignity: A Strategic Vision for Eradicating Modern Slavery in the UK

Hope for Justice is proud to be part of a consortium of leading organisations behind the new report ‘Decade of dignity: a strategic vision for eradicating modern slavery in the UK’. The UK’s current response to modern slavery is not working.

Weak enforcement, fragmented systems, and gaps in support are allowing exploitation to persist, while survivors struggle to rebuild their lives.

Together with other leading anti-trafficking and survivor-centred charities, we are setting out a practical plan for change, focused on:

• Stronger corporate accountability
• A tougher criminal justice response
• A survivor-centred system
• A joined-up national strategy to tackle child exploitation

These reforms could help dismantle criminal networks, prevent exploitation, and ensure survivors are supported with dignity. Now is the moment for renewed leadership and coordinated action across government, business, and civil society.
