3rd National Research Conference on Mental Health, Ethiopia

To celebrate World Mental Health Day, Hope for Justice in Ethiopia is organising the third national research conference on mental health on the theme: ‘Strengthening Ethiopia’s capabilities to meet human rights needs in mental health through an evidence-based approach’.

The conference aims to disseminate knowledge and share experiences among researchers and practitioners on the national mental health research gap.

Call for papers

We cordially invite researchers, practitioners, policy makers and professionals, to submit abstracts of their original research, and systematic review papers related to the themes of:

  • Mental health systems: health workforce, health policy, lifestyle, health education
  • Mental disorders and mental health service among children and adolescents at risk
  • Modern slavery, domestic servitude, sex trafficking and child labour
  • Irregular migration, human trafficking and mental health: abuse, neglect and exploitation of children
  • Psychosocial issues
  • Human rights and mental health
  • Social policies practices: child protection policy and social protection policy

Submission Guideline

The abstract shall not be more than 350 words. The full length research shall be maximum 15 pages (font size 12, spacing 1.5, Times New Roman)

Research papers should include author’s name, title, affiliation, cellphone number and email address

All selected papers will be presented and published in a proceeding of the conference

Abstract submission deadline: September 19th, 2023

Notification of shortlisted papers; September 26th, 2023

Submission of full-length papers: September 27, 2023

Notification of accepted full-length papers: September 29th, 2023
