What is the Everesting challenge?
The concept of Everesting is fiendishly simple: Pick any hill, anywhere in the world and complete repeats of it in a single activity until you climb 8,848m – the equivalent height of Mt Everest. Complete the challenge on a bike, on foot, or online, and you’ll find your name in the Hall of Fame, alongside the best climbers in the world. For full details on specific rules related to virtual Everesting see: https://everesting.cc/virtual-everesting-rules/ https://everesting.cc/
What is Hope Challenge and who is Hope for Justice?
Hope for Justice is a global organisation that exists to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives and reforming society. Last year Hope for Justice succeeded in bringing over 2,000 victims out of exploitation. For more information, please see: www.hopeforjustice.review
Hope Challenge is an annual fundraising campaign to support the work of Hope for Justice.
What is Zwift and how can I join?
Zwift is an online training platform. To use Zwift you will need an account, a device to run Zwift on (work with mac/pc/tablets), a compatible indoor smart trainer and a bike. For more details please see: https://zwift.com/eu/video/how-to-cycling
What hill on Zwift will be used?
Actually, there are two hills that will be used. Both from Watopia: The mighty “Alpe d’ Zwift” and feared “Reverse KOM”. We highly recommend that you try the two different hills in advance to find the better fit for you before you enter the event. You cannot change the hill during the event.
Direct drive or wheel-on trainer?
Both trainers would be an excellent instrument of torture for this challenge. The difference is that with a wheel-on trainer you would have to go for the Revers KOM route. This is to avoid your back wheel spinning and losing grip from the step gradient at the Alpe d’ Zwift route.
What if I choose the wrong category?
Don’t worry! This race is not based on w/kg like normal race categories on Zwift. Categories in the challenge is based on you elevation target. Everybody will be riding their own pace.
When do I start?
We would recommend that you start 9 AM (your local time). This would allow you to get a full night sleep and be ready for your challenge ahead. Everyone who have signed up will receive instructions as to how you join in with the rest of the group. We will ensure that our live stream crew are ready to pull some long hours to give you the support you need to finish.
I can’t get the page to process my donation, what do I do?

I’ve donated my $100 but I did not get a receipt?
Have you checked your spam folder? Or, perhaps your email address was not correctly entered. Please do get in touch with email@example.com and give your name and amount donated and will find your donation and provide you with your receipt.
Why should I donate $100 to Hope for Justice?
$100 donated to Hope for Justice will go towards keeping their life changing work running. So that even more people can live free from slavery.
How can I fundraise beyond the $100 I’ve already donated?
Yes, you certainly can. Everesting, being a time consuming activity, is perfect for sending out some updates on social media, or setting up a fundraising page to help raise more funds. Channels like Facebook or Justgiving would work brilliantly to help you fundraise. Don’t be shy, go all in, let’s see you conquer that mountain as well.
How much of the $100 I’ve donated goes towards Hope for Justice?
Everything! You are donating directly to Hope for Justice, not via a third party. The expenses related to the event will all be covered by our amazing partners; Elkjøp, Wahoo, Printinform, Kalas, Hells500, EFCT!
And in case you wondered, Hope for Justice publish their financial statements. For more information please see: https://hopeforjustice.org/financials/
