Break the Cycle 200: Des Moines to Okoboji
Jun 23
West Des Moines, IA
BTC 200 is an ultra-endurance cycling event that raises awareness and funds for real victims of modern slavery.
With more than 400,000 victims in the US alone and millions globally, the issue of human trafficking and modern-day slavery is real and pressing. 1 in every 4 victims is a child, many of them being sold and exploited for sex.
Our participants are signing up to join the fight against modern slavery by giving voice to the issue and raising funds that help rescue victims and restore the lives of survivors in the US and around the world.
We ask that you raise a minimum of $500 and every dollar raised will go straight to help our efforts to end modern slavery. Don’t worry, we will give you resources and a platform to raise your support online.
We do tough things for people in tough places.
How We Ride
This event is a 200-mile one-day ride (not a race) that departs before sunrise and works all day to arrive back before sunset. The pace is kept between 18-22 mph in a tight peloton with SAG vehicles for protection.
